When we sit around a fire..on a wintery cold night
Maybe I’d ask you to share the blanket. Maybe you’d take mine
But then..shhhhh…
The fire glinting in your eyes
And the stars..like always..shining bright
So yea..I’d tell you alright
What happened the night I met, the girl with the heart of fire
I was walking along the narrow stream..the water flowing by my side
My tiny little flowy companion, growing bigger with the night
It murmured and gurgled
Telling me it’s stories of a thousand miles
And there I stopped.
Dead in my track. As I stepped aside.
For lay ahead of me, the crouching figurine
In the darkness of the night
Lay all cosy, wrapped in tulips, the girl with the heart of fire
I tell you now, she wasn’t something you’d seen.
She wasn’t anything I would dream.
For her eyes were the sun, her skin was the moon
And her hair, amazons dark night
I tell you now, she wasn’t something you’d seen.
She wasn’t anything I would dream.
For she was the girl with the heart of fire.
I kissed her right then, and here she sits along , listening to my tales by the fire.
“For she was the girl with the heart of fire”
